Moving to a care home does not have to mean compromising on social activities and the pursuit of hobbies, in fact for many residents it gives them an opportunity to enjoy this to the full in a safe and comfortable environment.
However, moving to a care home is a life-changing event. It can be an anxious time for residents and their families, moving to a new environment surrounded by people they don’t know. It is important that new residents feel included and welcomed in their new home as soon as possible which is why we use activities to help with this process.
Book a TourOur Activities Co-ordinators take the time to discover resident’s hobbies and interests, and encourage any new residents to take part in our activities as a way of building new friendships and encouraging their physical and mental wellbeing.
We offer a huge range of activities, and are constantly looking for new ideas, to ensure we can cater to everyone’s individual interests and preferences. Our team organises everything from group activities and community visits, to trips out and quiet one-to-one time.
Our activities are designed to help our residents flourish and encourage them to be active, build social engagement and engage their thinking. They are a fantastic way to combat loneliness and for them to try something totally new. Our activities are available to all residents at their choice, and we always look to provide a range of activities suitable for different capabilities.
We have a fantastic dedicated sensory room for our residents to enjoy.
